Sino-Tibetan linguistics conference: Eight SIL papers
The 42nd International Conference on Sino-Tibetan Languages and Linguistics (ICSTLL 42) is being held at Payap University, Thailand. Payap is hosting the conference in connection with its 35th anniversary and is co-sponsoring in association with SIL and the Thai Royal Institute. One emphasis is on language development projects engaged in language revitalization.
Literacy seminar on capacity building in Togo
Sixty participants from 12 local language-development associations are attending a training seminar in Togo. Experienced SIL literacy personnel are presenting lectures and leading discussions structured around practical participatory activities and small group discussions. The topics are motivation, vision, leadership, management and finances for conducting an on-going literacy program.
